[Anthony Head has died aged 72]
Whether you knew him a Giles from Buffy, the Prime Minister in Little Brittan, the man from the coffee adverts, Uther Pendragon in Merlin, Frank-N-Furter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show stage productions or any of the myriad roles he played. Anthony Head has been a stable of geekdom for many years.
His daughters Emily and Daisy gave a statement saying "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our extraordinary father".
"He passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family,".
We, at Better Than a Poke in the Eye, will remember him for his many and varied roles.
