[Book News - The Long Awaited Sequel to Shades of Grey has arrived]
Better Than a Poke in the Eye's Rachel and Jason visited a rather wet and soggy Swansea town centre to pickup up our copies of Red Side Story the new sequel to Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde. The original was released nearly 14 years ago and fans of the book have been desperate to find out what happened next.
The signing wasn't meant to start until noon. We swung into Waterstones at around 11:40 and Jasper was already there and signing copies. We picked up our copies and joined the queue. Luckily as we were relatively early the queue was short and we got to see Jasper after a few minutes. It is always nice to see Jasper (he his a huge fan of Swansea and likes to visit when he can). We exchange a few pleasantries while Jasper signed our personal copy of Red Side Story and also a copy that we purchased to give away. We wondered around the store for a few minutes browsing the sci-fi and fantasy sections before heading out. We couldn't help noticing how long the queue had become in the meantime. It is great to see so many local Jasper Fforde fans.
