Newsletter 11 - August 2025 - Better Than a Poke in the Eye
1. Editorial
Welcome to another issue of the newsletter. This month we have found out about some exciting upcoming Good Omens merchandise (finally), we have been reminiscing about the Launch party for the Shepherd's Crown ten years ago, we visited the Paul Kidby's Designing the Discworld exhibition in Weston-Super-Mare and are looking forward to getting (soon hopefully) our copy of the Good Omens Graphic novel.
Hopefully we will also soon see The Tales of Beasts and Bugs in the shops? This short collection of previously released stories comes from Dragons at Crumbling Castle etc.
Rachel, myself and a few friends will be bringing our Luggage and a few Discworld characters to the opening day of the Designing Terry Pratchett's Discworld exhibition at its new home in Worcester Museum in the middle of September so come along and have a icongraph with the luggage and maybe get iconobombed by Rincewind (or Granny). Rachel and I will also be returning for the Museums After Hours event near the end of October.
On a personal note we look forward to visiting Eclectic Games at their new shop location next time we pass through Reading. Hopefully some time in the middle of October. If you don't know we've been friends with Becky and Darrell (both big Pratchett fans) at Eclectic Games from before they opened their first store many years ago. We pop in to see them whenever we are passing the area (living as we do in South Wales means we don't get that far East very often). If you are looking for Board games in Berkshire they are, in our opinion, simply the best (don't forget to let them know we sent you.)
We did send our roving reporters to see a Discworld play in Edinburgh but we haven't received their review yet! Hopefully we'll have it in time for next issue.
All the best until next time,
Jason and Rachel
