1. Editorial
Welcome to the May 2026 issue of Better Than a Poke in the Eye. In the last month we visited West Wales to see a very fun production of Night Watch and we very recently found out some details of the new card and board games from Modiphius who you may remember from the TTRPG game that hit Kickstarter a couple of years ago and, at this point, still hasn't been fulfilled.
Pratchett plays seem to be becoming really popular again given the number that I have added to our events page this month. It is wonderful to see so many production companies taking on Terry's plays. They are in their way keeping Terry's name alive and we appreciate it.
We are hoping to visit Poole at the end of June to see a production of Mort. If we make it we'll include a review in the next newsletter.
Until next month,
Jason

Review: Night Watch live in Milford Haven.
We visited Milford Haven in deepest West Wales to see Vision Arts latest Pratchett production of Night Watch. This is one of Terry's darkest novels and a hard one to bring to life, with a large cast and large scenes it would be interesting to see how they pulled everything together.
We were very impressed with director Adam Edgerley's vision and the effort put in by the full cast and crew.
